ECOWAS is made up of 15 countries and is home to well over 200 million people. The two major languages used for commerce, trade and governance are English and French in line with past colonial activities in the region.

With the region enjoying relative peace and political stability in tandem with appropriate laws to encourage investors and guarantee their investments, economic activities have been projected to increase continuously in the region - booming 'Emerging Markets'.
